How the Voting Tool Helps with Semiformal Votes

Semiformal votes are a way for Catdets to gather input on key community decisions without the full formality of a governance vote.

  • Efficient and Inclusive: Quickly involve eligible community members while keeping the process accessible and simple.
  • Transparency: Results are visible to everyone, fostering trust and clarity in decision-making.
  • Flexibility: Ideal for votes on events, guidelines, or initiatives that benefit from community input without being overly rigid.

🗳️ CoC Voting Process

The journey to becoming a Cat of Culture typically begins as an organic, community-driven process. Potential candidates naturally emerge through their consistent contributions and dedication to the Jupiter ecosystem. The bar for nomination is intentionally kept high to maintain the prestige and responsibility of the role.

1. Nomination

Current CoCs can nominate Catdets who have consistently demonstrated:

  • Outstanding community support
  • Deep understanding of Jupiter's ecosystem
  • Consistent positive contributions
  • Leadership qualities

2. Voting Period

Once nominated, a blind-voting period begins where current CoCs can cast their votes. A quorum must be reached for the vote to be valid.

3. Role Assignment

If the vote passes, the nominated Catdet receives the Cat of Culture role and joins this distinguished group of community leaders.
